[1964 - Advance Wars: Days of Ruin] Enhanced Menu doesn't work

Enhanced menu doesn't work with Advance Wars: Days of Ruin.

The game works fine otherwise, though.

Can anybody else confirm this?

I hope TC releases a new firmware soon to fix all these issues

They have already repaired these issues in the latest build they are working on. I just don't know when they will release it.

Think of it this way - could have an R4 where a lot of the newer games aren't working at all :)

I haven't tried it out yet, but I'll edit my post reflecting my test of the enhanced menu (don't expect anything positive though :P)

It's still an awesome game, and it's the only thing I'll be playing for a while, so the lack of Enhanced menu doesn't really matter, since I don't need to soft reset.

Alright, I can verify that it works fine trimmed with Tokyo and with 1.22 FW. Enhanced Menu doesn't work.

This is my own dump from the commercial cart though, so there's a chance you've either got a bad dump or a corrupted download.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go "test" it some more... :D

yea i guess I have a bad dump.
but its odd because others say it works on their respective carts, i shut off enhanced mode and it still is two white screens. :mad:

I doubt anything can change it (personal dump, trimming, etc).

Right, the enhanced menu isn't going to work at all until we get the next FW update. I was trying to help Sha'ul figure out why he couldn't run the game at all since we're probably the only two people here still using 1.22. :p

and as far as us using 1.22, there's nuthin wrong with old skool ;)

but does anyone have it working on 1.3?
and also (since im misinformed) whats the problem with not running it with enhanced mode or viceversa?

since im not too up to date on what enhanced mode does.

It works fine on 1.3B (enhanced menu not working).

The Enhanced Menu allows the use of Soft Reset, Real Time Save and Slowdown.

on another forum i go to, someone said theyre running it fine on 1.22
and gave me the suggestion of reinstalling firmware 1.22 then tryin it again

I apparently had v1.2 not 1.22, it works perfect with 1.22

Very true. So far no problems on my R4 as of yet with this game. Doesnt matter because my Cyclo should arrive next week.

So because the enhanced menu doesn't work I imagine the cheats will not work. i was going to add the cheats to the database but I noticed none of them work on cyclos. Is there any chance of a fix for this since it is one of the biggest games on a current release.

Yup, confirmed here with the beta firmware.

Thankfully, saving in-game is quick and frequent, so it hasn't realy mattered much.
