Hi

Iīve just ordered a Cyclo DS Evo and would like to know a few thing before itīs delivered:

- I saw in youtube videos that there are icons in the
"filebrowser" menue together with the filename/
romname. Is it necessary to add these icons manually or
are they "included" in the roms?
- Is it possible to rename the *.nds filenames to names I
want? for example from 1234.nds to mario_kart.nds
What is the max. filename length? (are the renamed
files working or is it necessary that the filename "fits"
to the rom)
- Iīve found "realtimesave" as a function at the feature
list on the Cyclo DS Evo homepage, but I havenīt
found anything in the downloadable manual. Is this
feature already working or is it planned for the future?

Thanks in advance

Duffy

The game icons are included in the ROM files, yes, and can also be seen in Windows if you install EvoTools.

You can rename your ROMs to whatever you want. The only thing you need to consider is that the save files (regular .sav and real time save (RTS) files) for the game need to have the exact same name as the ROM file (except for the file extension, of course), otherwise they won't be found. If you rename the ROM before playing the game for the first time it won't be a problem, since a save file with the correct name will be created automatically, but if you rename it after having played it you also need to rename the save/RTS files.

RTS has been there since firmware 1.3B, and mostly works really good. It's still in beta stage though, so with some games it's not as good. This is being worked on, and the new firmware (that will soon be released) should have much better RTS.
