I'm pretty certain that there are enough people experiencing this that it should be noted as a proper bug.
People are experiencing it in the following threads: http://www.teamcyclops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5103 http://www.teamcyclops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5128 Basically, the problem arises after the new firmware update. I installed this and tried to RTS for a couple of games. Ignoring the fact that I couldnt get the RTS to work (this is a different issue), i then removed the SD, put it in the supplied reader and whacked it into my USB. Windows couldnt read it. So i then tried it through the MicroSD -> SD adaptor into a SD reader supplied with my card. Again, same problem. Tried it 2 other ways also (through camera and through build in card reader) and again, still wont read the card. Cyclo DS reads it fine, but obviously, you cant update the information on the drive, back things up or do anything requiring a computer. I'm a bit worried, as I can't see any way this can be fixed - even if a firmware update is released, there would be no way to get it onto the card! |

OK, for those experiencing these problems, i've found a way to 'solve' them (for how long remains to be seen...)
Install PC Inspector: http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/file...htm?language=1 Connect your SD card and search for lost drives. It will find it and allow you to get most of your data off. Then download Panasonic's SD formatter: http://www.sdcard.org/about/downloads/ Format your card. Copy data back on. For the time being, i can read the card in both windows and Cyclo

I've found that the SD card gets corrupted every time you apply a firmware update. I simply backup the entire SD before (which is a good idea anyway), apply the update, then format and copy everything back on. Simple.

Anybody else who is experiencing this problem, please post here. We cannot reproduce this problem ourselves. Does it only happen directly after a firmware update is applied, or does it happen randomly? Those who are effected, please also post your hardware configuration: NDS type, MicroSD type and CycloDS Evolution type (batch 1 with white/green sticker, batch 2 with re-designed white sticker or batch 3 with re-designed case in black & white).

NDS Polar White DS Lite with FlashMe V8
Black v3 CycloDS Evolution Kingston SD-C02G card Died after 1.3B update. After the update, the computer failed to recognize the cards presence. Other devices (cell phones, CycloDS itself, digi cams) recognize the card but complain about the invalid filesystem. Not formattable through Windows, Panasonic SDFormatter, other tools, or on other devices. Under Windows XP SP2 Pro, compmgmt.msc shows "Unreadable". Properties of the flash card adapter (with the EVO) show a RAW filesystem with 0 bytes used, 0 bytes total capacity. Other OSes (Xandros Linux, Vista) fail to recognize or format the card. Other card readers fail to recognize or format the card. |

It only happened to me directly after the firmware update (so far, but havent yet had chance to test it after a decent play session with some saving etc).
