OBJECTIVE: Create a board book with charm and humor to appeal to children and adults.
STRATEGY: Recontextualizing monsters as silly and not to be feared, we hoped to introduce traditionally scary monsters as adorable misfits to children, and reintroduce them to adults in a humorous, playful format.
Currently on the second print run, Monster ABC was featured in GeekDad.com’s 2015 Holiday Gift Guide, as their “favorite new family book of the year,” in NW Kids’ Magazine’s 2015 Holiday Gift Guide, and in PDX Parent’s 2016 Holiday Gift Guide.
